Eggcorn is the word of the day.
It is a new one for me. The example shown was "for all intensive purposes." But it hearkened me back to a conversation I heard at the drugstore one day.
The manager was telling another woman that she had a "photogenic memory." An eggcorn, for sure and one that couldn't make me stop laughing. Beautiful thought, that photogenic memory.
