We are the change

 

The great community of Fallbrook where I live does a really nice job every year with its scarecrows.

They dot the sidewalks and are situated outside of our businesses. Scarecrow Days is a promotion from the local Chamber of Commerce.

For the last several years Leslie has had a scarecrow/ statue depicting Ruth Bader Ginsburg outside of her store.

There was a new one this year and I assumed it was another RBG.

I looked at it a little closer today and discovered it is actually a wonderful depiction of Rosa Parks.

Very well done!

I have to wonder if it was a conscious decision to put a civil rights icon in front of her store? 

In any case, incredibly good job.
