Buteo News

I caught up with the young red tailed hawks this morning on an old dead oak tree about a hundred yards from their nest.

You will note how quickly they have matured into their juvenile state.

Mother stood at watch from  her perch at a far off utility pole.

These two are practicing their inchoate flying skills but still staying pretty close to home.

It was dark and I was shooting at 5000 iso so the quality of the photographs is not optimal.

Hopefully they will stick around for a while longer.
