Peter, Paul and Mary are far too pure and sing and play far too beautifully to translate into this advanced and tortured new age of ours. They are so out it is not funny but we humans like to cast things overboard. Their covers gave many songwriters their jumpstart as they did here with this Gordon Lightfoot song in 1966. Eva Cassidy is the only other singer I know who has covered it so magnificently. Maybe Elvis. Don't understand why they would never give Mary her own microphone. Just because your parents liked them doesn't mean they sucked.

Early stereo? Sound engineer doing what they could to provide aural separation.
Or they were just a bunch of misogynists.
