Man without a country

My hardened silos blogpost was picked up by the liberal website Crooks and Liars today. That used to mean thousands more views, these days it is typically hundreds more views but I appreciate the link and added attention in any case.

I saw a funny comment there in response to my post.

Cracks me up. I'm well to the right of center? Really? Who knew? Just goes to show that you can't please everybody so it is better to not even try. Too right for the left, too left for the right. I'm fine with that, honestly. Do tune out.

I am not sure of the crispy critter reference, it could mean my appreciation for Feinstein. It is also an urban dictionary slang for someone who has eaten too many magic mushrooms. Is it really that easy to tell?

I worked with Feinstein's office in Washington D.C. when I was involved in environmental work some thirty years ago. She was exceedingly helpful. I respected her intelligence and integrity then and I also do today. Did I find myself wishing she would retire the last few months? Yes, but I also respect the fact that she wants to do it on her own terms. She has been a great public servant. At least in my right of center way of thinking.

AOC has been rather brash and disrespectful in trying to rush her out the door. She deserves better than that in her twilight.

I don't trust young doctors and I don't trust too many young politicians. Honestly, what's the old saying, it's what you learn after you know it all that counts. AOC, Tlaib, Omar and their ilk are a nightmare for me and I hope to heaven they never hold the reigns of power.
