A real blast for me. Jerry Santos and his new partner Haunani Apoliona were the first Hawaiian super group I saw after moving to Hawaii in 1982, their first appearance together. Besides his soaring tenor and heartfelt aloha she is a wonderful musician and composer as well as a distinguished public figure in Native Hawaiian affairs. Here he sings of the Windward Coast of Oahu, a stunningly beautiful place.

A beautiful song of returning, one of my all time favorites.
I too arrived in Hawaii to the music of Olumana… and still love their music.
