The Wylie family has a horse ranch in De Luz that rescues horses. They have over 60 horses on the ranch and teach riding and do all sorts of great things for the community.

You may remember that they lost their house in the 2020 fire. Luckily all the horses were saved. Their daughter Kiersti is a top equestrian and a great person to boot.

Kiersti has been involved in trying to save a rare Spanish barb stallion from the kill buyers and the slaughterhouse. This is her GoFund Me page. She drove all the way to Idaho in terrible weather and ended up saving seven horses. I am not much of an Instagram user but her videos of the trip have been wonderful. What a great thing she has done here. Please donate a few dollars and help these horses survive!
