Hawkwind

After a hectic two weeks, my plan was to go hiking and shoot some bird photographs yesterday afternoon.

But when I got behind the wheel to drive an hour north I realized that I had nothing left in my tank and that I would be better served by going home and getting a little rest, maybe even an afternoon nap.

I didn't get a nap but I did chill a bit. And I managed to shoot a couple low light pictures of the mother red tailed and her two chicks this morning on the way in.

The babies are definitely getting bigger. Due to my work schedule I have been sort of remiss this year. Hope to get some better shots very soon.
