Vlad told me today that Mike had recently passed, I must have missed it. A great musician and a wonderful human being, he was the first person to give the Blue Heron Blast national exposure on Crooks and Liars. We had kept up a correspondence over the years, liked to talk basketball among other things. Unfortunately we not only shared a love for music and hoops, we also shared kidney cancer and it nailed him in the end. Vaya con dios, Mike and thank you.
