Imagine if a Democratic leader had presided over an insurrectionist attack by his minions on our nation's Capitol?
Think the Republicans would turn the other cheek?
Now all of a sudden it should be a time for healing. Let's move forward. For the sake of the nation.
The hypocrisy is astounding.

It seems clear that most Republican voters are still with Trump and that explains why the overall party is in line behind him also. I noticed a hopeful development in the emergence of early work toward starting a Conservative party that supports the constitution and rule of law. I hope it goes further than the attempt as starting a Modern Whig party, who knows?

I'm astounded that you are astounded by their hypocrisy - it's who/what they are, and have been for a very long time.
