Scorched earth

Boy was it hot today! Thankfully it has cooled down. Just took this shot in my car at 5:30 p.m., a cool 111 degrees.

In the shade. Guess it hit about 115 today. I think we might be hotter than Phoenix or Vegas.

Power company called yesterday.

They said since I was on an energy saver plan at work, if I used any power after two o'clock this afternoon they reserved the right to charge me exorbitant rates for the privilege.

I shut it down and didn't take them up on it. Jumped in Renee's pool and chilled out as best as I could.
