Buy somebody you love a mask

A lot of local restaurants around town are hurting right now. Most of us are staying at home and if we do go out, we are creatures of habit. So some awfully nice people and places are falling through the cracks and some of them appear to have at least temporarily closed.

I went to Greek Chicken for a bite today. I had to go to town and stop off at the bank after three days sequestered. Greek Chicken does many things really well. Hamid makes a lemon chicken soup that is thick and wonderful. His mother's recipe. Perfect when you have a cold. His chicken and ribs are also good. His food is far better than the previous owner. Nice guy.

Everybody loves his chicken topped salad with feta, cucumbers and olives but I only recently discovered how great his beef kabob is.

They also happen to make what I consider is the best charbroiled hamburger in town. For fast food in any case. Definitely the best bun. I had the half pounder today. Thought about the fried zucchini, which I love, but deferred, trying to keep my weight down.

There was a sign in the drive in window that they are now selling masks and a portion of the sale is going to first responders. I bought this camo number, which is reversible, for eight bucks. I believe that one of the owner's relatives is making them. My other two masks have cotton ties, this one has elastic. Elastic has good and bad qualities, nice to have something you can throw on quickly when let's say, you are in line at a fast food restaurant, in a quick pinch, but my ears are not exactly shaped for it.

Anyway, a fashionable person can never have too many masks and I was missing one in camouflage. It will certainly look good at the bank. They are getting more women's colors tomorrow, you might want to check them out.

We have always enjoyed the food from Greek Chicken, especially the salads and chicken.

Those beef kabobs are the bomb! Best eaten hot, right there on site! I’m a full-vegan now, but I’ve eaten dozens of them. Delish...!

Every fall I broker a ton of weed for this little old Hmong farmer dude. Hes about 70 years old, born in the jungles of Laos and amazingly spry. Its a full 3 hour drive into the middle of nowhere to get to his ramble down shack. He calls his weed "my green chicken". He is such a hard worker and so humble and charming. I just love that green chicken dude!

Robert...thanks for the idea of the Greek Food and the masks...I went there today for their grilled cheeseburgers and large fries...I could only eat 1/2 the burger and Bob and I have enough fries for another meal, good gracious. I bought two masks and told the lady you had written about them and the masks. IF I had a normal size head it might fit, so we are taking the stapler to the elastic, but they are very nice. Thanks for the idea. You and Leslie take care xo C.
