Dear Readers

Many of us, no matter what part of the world we hale from, are currently experiencing a curtailing of freedom and mobility like nothing we have ever gone through in our lives. And the lockdown and distancing will probably get worse.

I spent a large part of six weeks in a sealed room with a gas mask and atropine injection kit in Israel during Desert Storm, it is the only thing that I can think of personally that compares. Or maybe dodging the cops during the big 2007 fire so that we didn't get tossed out of Fallbrook, we were surreptitiously living in my shop with the dogs and cats.

Someone said that it feels like the Corona virus is impacting our country in an even greater way than the Trade Center bombing did. I don't know. Maybe.

What I would like, if you feel like it and are willing, is for you to write the blog a short essay about your feelings about this period of your life and the unusual or usual things you are noticing wherever you live. It can be anonymous and I will edit for spelling as necessary. Please send to azurebirdsatgmaildotcom. I will publish them. If you want to send pictures of pertinent stuff that is cool too.
