Hawkwatch

I saw the mother to be red tailed hawk in the new nest this morning. She is primping her crib, putting the final touches on for the roost. She is a gorgeous bird, rather small, with a very different color morph than I have ever seen before in my valley.

I am hesitant to stop and have not. I do not want to spook her in any way for fear that she will abandon the new nest and start one somewhere else. I want her to be very comfortable and will continue to give her her space. We will have time to get acquainted when she is sitting on her eggs.

I had a good vantage before, this one is beyond my wildest dreams. I don't want to do anything to screw it up.
