Beaked Yucca

I'm pretty psyched this morning. My yucca rostrata is about to spike its first bloom.

This plant is also known as the Big Bend or Silver Yucca and is native to Chihuahua and Coahuila as well as West Texas.

The native people called it Soyate. It is a welcome and beautiful addition to my palm and succulent garden.

I will make sure to take and share a picture when it finally blooms. They are said to be stunning.
