Allan Holdsworth

Since I have temporarily swore off politics I can almost function as a full time obit writer. So many musical heroes biting the dust these days. Allan Holdsworth Saturday. Was just talking about him at the Seder, Saturday night. Our host is a recording engineer and had worked with him.

Holdsworth lived in Vista. No less a luminary than Frank Zappa said that he was the best guitarist there was. I first caught him playing with Jean Luc Ponty. Wonderful.

I like this cut because it features the faboo vocalist Annette Peacock, not to mention a stellar cast of musicians. Give it a listen, if it is your bag.
