We saw this last night as well. It has been an issue that I was not too concerned about but now I do see it as another 'corporate domination of the little guy' issue. Corporate, for profit prisons that is. This issue has nothing to do with preventing drug abuse. It has everything to do with greed and money. Hemp and pot legalization would remedy so many problems in this country but corporate greed and/or religious ignorance has shoved our heads up our ass. Putting our money resources into childhood education instead of the war on drugs would prevent teenage pregnancy, drug use and foster more responsible behavior. The truth, an education and a good job changes everything yet it seems to be a threat to corporate and religious control of our minds and money.
