Big Mike or Confucius, I forget which one, once said that we must conduct our victories like funerals. So I will soft pedal the event and simply tell you that I hit a sweet run of straights, sets and flushes and cashed out after about an hour. My table mates freaked, how could I leave in the middle of my hot streak? I muttered something about being happy with small victories and changed color, pocketing about $850.00. Awesome buffet, by the way. Mixed the bananas foster with the bread pudding and watched the end of the game on the jumbo tron. Kept dinner to two plates, too.

Four art openings in Fallbrook, friday night. Sharon Cutri and Jim Helms at Pinnell, American Watercolor Society show at the Art Center, Brazen Gallery's grand opening and Brandon Gallery. I had a great time and saw a million people I knew. Met some great new folks from San Diego. Felt like the pope at one time, having become somewhat of an institution, or at least the town's eccentric nutty uncle.
I saw the Hardesty's there and I indulged in something mildly stupid that I have to stop doing. Asking people if they are still reading the blog. They actually weren't and I think I made them a little bit uncomfortable. Great people. Blog shaming is a terrible vice. Everybody is too busy to listen to anybody's constant rant, especially mine. So refrain without shame folks and I will try not to ask... Read or don't read, I till love you.
Blog went over two thousand hits again yesterday. Zounds.
