I never get tired of this song. Written and originally recorded by Lesley Duncan as a b-side in 1969 and then admirably
covered by Elton John on Tumbleweed Connection, my favorite album by Sir Elton. Burt Bacharach once reportedly said that he wished he had written it. I have never heard a bad version by anybody but Lesley Duncan's is still my
favorite. And
here Elton and Neil Young take a crack at it together at the Bridge Benefit. And there's this
one.
