I just finished reading a fascinating histiry book--"prohibition." A failed "nanny state" experiment. Why is that relevant now. Because the sponsors of the ban on alcohol believed all of the nation's problems would be cured if liquor was banned. Today,it seems there is a group that believes all of the nation's problems would be cured if taxes were abolished--or it seems to me that they believe all the essential services would still be furnished if taxes were cut in half--as though that alone would contain the fires in Colorado.
The U.S., the world, economics in general, is extremely complicated--something Grover Norquist refuses to understand. Your Uncle
