Lynne Merchant

Lynne Merchant is one of my favorite artists and oldest friends. She is a wirebender and jeweler who patiently learned her craft over many decades of travels to asia, africa and the middle east. Lynne has taught hundreds if not thousands of students at workshops all over the country. Her work has inspired many followers and imitators but none can rival the works of the original artist.

Lynne was the subject of a one woman show last year at San Diego's Lindbergh Field. She has always kept meticulous journals during her travels, and they in themselves are works of art and were displayed during the exhibit. Her jewelry, which fills the drawers of my wife and many other discriminating customers, often uses south sea pearls and beautiful found objects. I think that my wife has three different pairs of her pearl earrings and they are her definite favorites.

Lynne has a small shop on Cedros Ave. in Solana Beach. Stop by and take a look at her unique and incredible creations.
