Same old thing

The Iceman cometh. My favorite Albert Collins groove. I have posted a different version on the blog before, this was obviously the night time show from the same tour at Mt. Fuji in Japan. This performance not quite as strong and tight as the other one but still great material from the late blues legend. And you got to give it up for the mullet too, Pete Thoennes. New Orleans' Steve Howard on trumpet. Nobody left anything on the table this show. Collins liked to capo up to the 7th or 9th fret and played in an open Fm tuning. Never used a pick, always got a great, fat tone. Died of cancer, way too early.
