John McLaughlin flies into The 4th Dimension

People sometimes get down on McLaughlin for his fast delivery. They think he is maybe preening a little bit and showing off. I say the man thinks fast and he plays fast and I appreciate his pace and his peerless musicianship. If it was superflous notes it would fatigue me. It doesn't. His bands always smoke. Incredible drum exchange at the end of this one.
