A recent poll shows that 93% of Americans want labeling to show if their food has been genetically modified. Currently an estimated 60 to 80% of processed food includes genetic modifications, depending on which study you believe. The FDA does not require and in fact in some cases prohibits the labeling and disclosure of genetically modified food. Even Whole Foods now admits that it is impossible to keep GMO food off of its shelves.
Once again under the reign of Obama, his campaign chatter turns out to be worthless.

This week the Center for Food Safety filed a legal petition with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration seeking mandatory labeling for foods made from genetically engineered crops, a move long opposed by the big biotech companies. Gee, I wonder how the administration is going to react this time?
