Northern Trek

Oxbow Bend
Leslie and I have just completed an epic trip to Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and the surrounding areas. We logged about 1100 miles on the rent a car in five days just tooling around the gorgeous and largely deserted landscape. We saw tons of wildlife - three grizzly, six moose, a wolf, pronghorn, elk, deer, grouse, bald eagles, scads of bison, just an amazing journey through the shimmering aspens at the perfect time of the year. Not a lot of humans, thankfully.

In the coming days, I am going to put my notes together and post a journal of my trip but thought I would give you a few photos as a little taste. After all they are worth at least a thousand words.

We were snowed in yesterday morning in Yellowstone and had to drive west through Montana and small town Idaho to get back to our plane in Jackson. We got lost but finally made it.

Please click on the photos and view them full size. Will try to write something tomorrow. Enjoy!
