The Chocolate Watchband-Sweet Young Thing

The lead guitar player for this band, Mark Loomis, lives or lived in Oceanside. I took this picture of Mark and his wife at my friend Kevin Kinnear's old guitar shop, Epic, a couple years ago. Many denizens of psychedelic and underground garage music consider the Watchband the best of the bunch. As this photograph shows, he may have flown just a little too close to the flame.
