My mom called today. Your dad, he looks good.
Mom, he said he had never met me before. Ya, but he looks good.

Good evening Robert !!
I don't seem to 'get' how you comment on your Blog, but I guess there's a lot of things that I just don't get.
I did want to make a couple of comments though.
First off, I really empathize with you about your father. I cannot even imagine losing a person this way. It is so evident that you love this man, and that it hurts you to see/have him as he is. It is nothing to be thankful for, but be appreciative that it is you (and other loved ones) that are suffering, rather than him. Having said that, always keep your great sense of humor...... Your mother is right, he does look good.
2ndly. I think your friend S, with the skin cancer, might be misunderstanding her insurance benefits. If the insurance company will cover it being removed from her face, they will cover it being removed from the leg. The difference could be that they will not pay for it to be left "pretty" on the leg. A procedure including reconstructive surgery on the leg would likely be considered as cosmetic, and not medically necessary. But they should cover the cancer removal. If she hasn't already had it taken off, she should just get it done and let the provider bill the insurance. She can always fight with them (insurance) later. Good luck to her on it !
