Signs of the Times

I am back from the quest. While not necessarily what I would term a major financial success, I had a fantastic time, got to spend quality time with friends, that by the nature of our mutual endeavor, are usually hard to find time to hang out with. New Mexico was wonderful and I will treasure the memory. Got to hang out with a bunch of great ladies. And Bob. One of the most pleasurable antique shows I have attended.

I have driven for two days and so will keep this short. Must go home and collapse. The I-40 was closed down in both directions from Flagstaff today, because of intense winds. I had to do a bit of white knuckling to steer the ship in the channel. Just made it through.

I had several profundities waft through and past my nose today, but I neglected to write them down and forgot them so mankind's direction will now forever be changed. Most probably.

I spent a couple nights photographing old neon on Central Ave. in Albuquerque. Got chatted up by a prostitute. Unfortunately many of the best old signs are no longer lit. My friend Randy suggesting renting a generator and hacking in and lighting them all up. Guerilla style. Make a great project. Or book.  I used to paint signs and I love letters. Learned from 94 year old Master Signpainter Les Gampp. So these old signs have a real pull on me.

Mac Book Pro took a dive last night. Need to write soon.

Apple announced today the release of a new product that is expected to double their annual sales revenue. Named the iPencil, this radical new device is not dependent on hard drives, the internet or even electricity.....
