the novelty of this wears off rather quickly for me; jazzing up the classics just doesn't work; would much rather hear Frank conduct one of his own pieces, such as "Peaches in Regalia"; he was a brilliant composer in his own right, why both goofing on a masterpiece?
I totally disagree. I think that he approaches the piece with respect and I think he pulls it off in very successfully. I am a Hot Rats fan from way back, but applaud him for this. I don't think it is goofing, I think it is wonderful.
