You know, I love this version but cant say that it is necessarily better than the Stones, which is just different. I give them credit for adding such a driving bass line. Think it was one of their best reworked efforts, certainly not derivative.
besides the vocals, i really like the reverb on the guitar, Lanois uses this effect a lot; beautiful, thanks for posting this. g.
