Kerrville, Texas

Put about 910 miles on the van today  - Over 500 in Texas alone and don't think we are half through.  Unfortunately driving through the beautiful part (bluebonnets and hill country) in the dark but tomorrow is certainly another day.  Lots of mundane miles today - Kent, Ozona, etc.

Van has a cage that prohibits the seat from moving back so we can't really drive in a comfortable position.  We make frequent driving changes.

Steve and I are good traveling companions - we both like country music  and bluegrass - Sirius radio is a big help.  Tuned into Prairie Home Companion from Louisville as well as an early Superman radio show.  Mostly stayed away from politics.

Horrible dinner at filthy Subway prepared by disinterested attendant - half went into the trash. Forgot my usb cable so I can't stick any pictures up at this point but will try to pick one up. Drove through my childhood homes of Las Cruces and Cielo Vista this morning but they have certainly changed.  Will take off early tomorrow and hopefully have another big day on the odometer.  I feel pretty good.  Hope you have a nice weekend.
