Life Drawing

I've been drawing from live nude models since I was eighteen. I find people's responses to the concept and the resulting artwork interesting, distressing, and sometimes amusing depending on my mood. The latest remark was from a fifty-plus woman who said she thought she would just giggle if she saw someone naked in a drawing class. She has three children. Were they conceived undercover?

I've been in classes where the model has strolled around nude looking at our work. It just seems natural, not weird or sexual. It seems we are still stuck in the puritanical mindset of our
ancesters. Don't know what I'm really trying to express here, except that the human form is beautiful, old or young, and we should relax and be less fearful of living.

I believe I know the identity of that masked anonymous poster and painted and drew with him for years and he has used that expression for decades and it is not a juvenile sexual reference.

And I also must add for honesty's sake, I definitely had a crush on one or two of the life drawing models in college. There was certainly an element of sexuality present that aroused my lustful juvenile proclivities.
