No matter how bad of a personal funk you may have been in, or may be in, hearing a group like "The Four Tops," and, even better, watching them with their synchronized, astonishingly polished and "groovin'" choreography, was - and still is - enough to lift your spirits, anytime.
For the general information of all: CVS Pharmacy in Fallbrook has a CD rack which features some terrific "Greatest Hits" collections. After watching "The Four Tops on Sesame Street" I immediately drove downtown and picked up "Motown Records: "The Best of The Four Tops" (B0007719-02) - price: $9.99.
It starts out with "Baby I Need Your Loving," and ends up with the hymn-and-prayer-of-gratitude "Ain't No Woman (Like The One I've Got)".
When the Israelites came through the Red Sea, Miriam went before them, dancing for joy with a tamborine. King David danced for joy before the Altar of God.
