I was going to chide you, masked blogger assassin, for being an uncultured lout and not recognizing the famed Merseybeat but unfortunately after research it appears you are right, it is a Bacharach song...
Ah, Mersey, Mersey me, things ain't what they used be, nooo, we got to find a way to bring some Dionne Warwick here today. And while we're on the subject, everyone knows Dionne was the voice of the UNforgettable tune that was 'Alfie', from the movie of the same name, and you would want to pin her warblings to the intro of that movie....But wait, you would be wrong!! Who was the singer, as part of a team, that actually sang the song 'Alfie' that was used in the intro of the movie? ( Just a hint....she has been THE most sucessful female singer in the last five decades).
Mystery blogger assassin, I cheated and looked it up. That would be she, the lover of the man in the caveman vest, Elijah's mommy, that soulful armenian diva from Fresno, CHER! And I think her song was positioned at the end of the movie...
